Model 9100-PPASH proximity probe stinger housing mounting assembly accommodates the common proximity probe transducer housing assemblies found on the market. Heavy stinger assemblies or dual probe holders can easily be positioned over a Modal Shop portable vibration calibrator generating known vibration levels with a 4140 steel target.
As the video shows, once the proximity transducer assembly, such as the Bently Nevada ProxPac, is mounted performing a static probe curve, loop check, or dynamic calibration test becomes simple. In a dynamic test, the portable vibration calibrator can be programmed to inform the technician whether the probe passes or fails while, at the same time, saving data to memory for the purpose of creating a NIST traceable calibration report. Of course the loop check is the most important test of all, confirming the proper operation of critical vibration alarms.
The 9100-PPASH mounting assembly is also supplied with an additional flexible proximity probe adapter to handle probes with any case thread under 1/2 inch (12 mm).
