The Modal Shop was presented with the 2012 Best of Sensors Expo Silver Award for the 9100D Portable Shaker Vibration Calibrator. The 9100D Portable Vibration Calibrator is ideal for field calibration of accelerometers, velocity transducers and proximity probes over a wide frequency and amplitude operating range. Melanie Martella, executive editor of Sensors Magazine, gave the award at the Sensors Expo & Conference on June 6, 2012 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.

“The nominations demonstrated exceptional innovation, integration and ease of use,” said Martella. “We applaud them all.”

Gold, silver, bronze and honorable mention awards were presented at Sensors Expo. Dozens of exhibitors submitted new product nominations and entries which were judged on the basis of potential impact, application, distinctiveness, timeliness and availability.

“You have sensors protecting your valuable assets, this product confirms that alarm and shut down trip points are set properly,” said Marco Peres, Product Manager at The Modal Shop. “Serving the vibration community for over 40 years, The Modal Shop, a PCB Group Company, focuses on both continuing innovation and process simplification.”

The 9100D's rugged, portable design, and 18 hour battery life make it perfect for use on the plant floor and ideal for travel between multiple worksites. Precision hardware and software, coupled with a simplified user interface, make calibration an intuitive and practical process.
