The Modal Shop 2075E electrodynamic exciter is a lightweight, dual-purpose powerful permanent magnet shaker, providing up to 75 lbf (334 N) pk sine force. A large armature (3.25 inch diameter platform table supporting payloads up to 7 lbs) makes the shaker ideal for traditional vibration control testing of components and subassemblies. Its dual-purpose nature stems from integrating a through-hole armature design ideal for adapting stingers for modal applications.  The unit includes a chuck and collet stinger attachment assembly, providing simple set-up with stingers for applications requiring mechanical decoupling of the test article from the shaker dynamics.  As a result, the unit is unique in its ability to support both general vibration testing and experimental modal testing applications.

The shaker is supplied in a standard trunnion mounting base with EasyTurn™ handles, allowing up to 90° rotation for easy setup and alignment.  Its armature suspension design provides excellent axial compliance with high lateral stiffness.  There are no rolling or sliding components to wear out or produce unwanted noise and distortion.  Its 1inch (25.4 mm) stroke, wide frequency range (useable to 6500 Hz), and innovative dual-purpose platform table design support a very broad range of applications.

The 2075E is also supplied with The Modal Shop 2150G12 and 2155G12 modal stinger kits, designed for use with the through-hole armature and chuck and collet attachment.  When used in this configuration, these stingers greatly simplify test setup with an easy connection to the force sensor and test structure, and help decouple cross-axis force inputs, minimizing force measurement errors.

Complete kit configurations are available that include all necessary amplifiers, cooling packages and accessories.  For meeting the full 75 lbf pk sine force rating, the Model K2075E075 kit adds the 2050E09 power amplifier and necessary cooling package.  The Model K2075E040 kit adds the new 2100E21-400 SmartAmp™ power amplifier, capable of driving the shaker to 40 lbf pk sine force.
